There is so much to love about northern California, from its bountiful vineyards, rich history, and Pacific coast, to the towering redwoods. This region is truly remarkable with something for everyone, from long rides through the endless scenery of the coast and forests, to enjoying some of the world’s finest wines at lush vineyards.
Wholistic refers to the idea or philosophy that all parts of a thing are interconnected, with a focus on complete systems rather than simply upon individual parts. At Sojourn, we pride ourselves on the wholistic consideration that drives the creation of our tours. The time you spend with us isn’t just about the biking, or the scenery, or the places you visit – it’s bigger than that. Your time with us is a wholistic experience, mindfully crafted by Sojourn staff, designed to transcend typical active vacations and deliver on our promise of “The Good Life, By Bike.”
There is perhaps no better showcase for this wholistic approach than our wine country bike tours. Whether you travel with us through the well-known appellations in California’s Sonoma County, or to the distinctive microclimate of Canada’s Niagara Escarpment (a ridge carved by ancient glaciers) that supports Ontario, Canada’s most active wine region, you can expect a luscious fusion of cycling, culinary delight, and vinous exploration.

It ended up being one of the most fun 16-day stretches of my adult life. (By the way, you can click on any of these thumbnail images to view these photos full size, if you like.)
Our bike tours through the California Wine Country get rave reviews. Between the majestic redwoods and the glorious ocean views along Bodega Bay, this tour earns its accolades with beauty and taste.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. On this Wine Country bike tour, you’ll have the opportunity to behold the great beauty of the region at your own pace be it leisurely or vigorous. The gorgeous natural beauty of California is apparent in every mile.
It’s that time of year where the nation is gripped yet again by March Madness. We decided we’d have a little fun of our own and add bike tours to the frenzy. Here in Vermont we’re celebrating the University of Vermont’s win last night which gives them their second ever NCAA men’s basketball tournament win. Last night’s win pits Vermont against top-seeded North Carolina. In their first appearance, Vermont’s Catamounts shocked the nation with an amazing upset over a perennial power. Read The Full Post
