  • Start & End: We pick you up from the St. George Regional Airport (SGU) at 9:30 AM or at the Staybridge Suites St. George at 9:45 AM. The tour concludes in St. George as well, at 12:30 PM.

  • Meals: All breakfasts are covered, as well as most dinners and lunches. We leave a few evenings and afternoons open for you to explore the variety of restaurants in the area. We strongly recommend a reservation for the restaurants you pick.

  • Shuttle: In order to offer you the best of the pick on a trip, we sometimes have to make liberal use of shuttles.  On this trip, there is a 1 1/2 shuttle ride at the start of the trip to get to Cedar Breaks National Monument.

  • Routes: Most of the riding is on roads with sparse traffic, but there are a few exceptions where traffic might be heavier. Additionally, there are some steeper descents where guests should exercise caution. We encourage those who feel nervous to get in the van whenever they feel uncomfortable.

  • Non-Biking Activities: There are a number of hikes on this trip. As well as having the opportunity to self select these hikes on days on your own, there is also a pre-scheduled hike which is rated as intermediate at 3 miles with a good amount of elevation. Specific footwear is strongly recommended.

  • E-Bike: Limited number of E-bikes are offered on a first come first serve basis.

  • Van support: There are a few longer ride days and you can choose to ride as much or as little as you want. Our vans are always there to offer you a break.

  • Flexibility: Our trips are designed to be flexible, giving you the freedom to experience it the way YOU want. So if you want some downtime or to do things on your own, our leaders will work to find you the best days to do it.

  • Lodging: The Bryce and Zion lodges are fairly rustic national park lodges that reflect their natural surroundings. While these hotels offer simpler accommodations than the typical Sojourn property, it provides unparalleled access to the best hiking and biking in the region.Generally speaking, service in the national parks can seem laid-back when compared with the high standards of service found on other Sojourn trips.

  • Level of Riding: This is rated as an intermediate trip with a good amount of climbing, as well as being at elevation for the duration of the trip. Riding distances vary with a day on your own on Day 6. Currently, the longest distance you can ride is 85 miles in a single day but once again you can choose to opt for as little as you ride.

  • Routing and Scheduling: The itinerary we provide can change on a certain day in terms of restaurant time, road closures, and weather conditions. Our leaders are fully trained at offering alternate plans and solutions. We seek your cooperation and promise to deliver the best vacation experience regardless.

"I like being able to ride into Zion, where there were no other bikes because of the tunnel's off limits to bikes, and go through the tunnel in the van. This was the most exhilarating, breathtaking aspect of the tour, together with riding through the Narrows Canyon. I also enjoyed the hikes in Bryce Canyon. It was great to have "saddle breaks" on Wed and Fri, and reassuring to have van options for long/steep sections. Having a warm-up ride day on Sunday was an excellent gentle start!"

Moraya Khan

"The vistas and experience of cycling on Highway 12! Going over the Hogs Back, whistling down into the canyon to the bottom along Calf's Creek green oasis, and climbing back up and out again along a winding road in a stark landscape. Gorgeous and amazing vistas in Snow Canyon, Cedar Breaks, Escalante, Bryce and Zion. We encountered a curious herd of sheep marching along on the roadway in Hatch - so fun! I loved the last morning when we cycled into Zion to take it all in on two wheels as the sun rose and gilded the mountain tops. It was my favorite Sojourn trip - so far!"

Joan Martel

"The early morning ride through Zion National Park was spectacular. The beauty was breathtaking! We also loved riding in the east entrance to Zion. Amazing views! The Hogsback ride was also one of our favorites. I have never been on a bike when 500 sheep decided to cross the road in front of me. It was a cool experience."
