This bike tour in France explores the dramatic landscapes of the French and Italian Alps. Start from pristine Lake Annecy and its namesake town, known as “the little Venice of the Alps.” Set off into the Alps’ Haute-Savoie region, where you’ll have stunning views of the 7,713-foot La Tournette. Get ready for the bucket-list part of your vacation, pedaling part of the 2018 Stage 10 of the Tour de France from Col de Bluffy, with views of the Chateau de Menthon – Saint Bernard. Go deep into the mountains to tiny Thônes, the capital of Reblochon cheese, before relaxing in an alpine chalet in the foothills of the Aravis Mountains. Ride through the chic farming villages of Flumet and Megève before arriving in glamorous Chamonix on the ski slopes of Mont Blanc. Cross to the Italian side of Mont Blanc to Courmayeur in the Aosta Valley, where you’ll have the chance to visit the famous Mer de Glace ice cave. Spend your final morning on a memorable alpine ride, an out-and-back around Chamonix with ever-changing views of Les Grands Montets.

This morning, ride through the chic farming villages of Flumet and Megève. Break for a picnic lunch in the storybook town of Megève. Your home for the next two nights is at the Relais & Chateaux 5-star Hameau Albert 1er in the glamorous town of Chamonix on the ski slopes of Mont Blanc.
This morning we cross over to the Italian side of Mont Blanc to the mountain town of Courmayeur in Aosta Valley. Explore this "best all-round ski resort town of Italy" over lunch. In the afternoon visit the Mer De Glace and explore the famous ice cave at your own pace. Tonight, we gather for a farewell dinner at the hotel’s mountain-style farmhouse restaurant.
After breakfast get ready for your final alpine ride — an out-and-back around Chamonix with ever-changing views of Les Grands Montets. Return to a delicious lunch before your departure to Geneva.
