  • Start & End: We pick you up from the Tucson airport at 2 PM to start the trip. Upon tour conclusion, we drop you off back in Tucson at 10 AM.

  • Meals: All breakfasts, as well as most dinners and lunches are covered. We leave a few evenings and afternoons open for you to explore the variety of restaurants in the area. We strongly recommend doing research regarding opening times and making a reservation for the restaurants you pick.

  • Riding Conditions: It’s the Sonoran Desert, so you should always be prepared for the sun, but we only run our trips in the winter, so you can rest assured that temperatures on tour will not be too uncomfortable to ride. Tucson is a favored destination for European pros to train during the winter, so that’s certainly an indicator of the quality of the riding.

  • Shuttle: In order to offer you the best of the area on a trip, we sometimes have to make liberal use of shuttles.  Due to traffic in the area, some of the days start and end with a drive in the van to get guests to more quiet and scenic areas, usually for around 1 hour.

  • Routes: Although most of the riding is on trails and bike paths we do sometimes will share the road with traffic. Some roads can be busier and though it is relatively safe, we encourage guests who feel nervous to get in the van.

  • E-Bike: Limited number of E-bikes available on this trip on a first come first serve basis.

  • Van support: There are a few longer ride days and you can choose to ride as much or as little as you want. Our vans are always there to offer you a break.

  • Flexibility: Our trips are designed to be flexible, giving you the freedom to experience it the way YOU want. So if you want some downtime or to do things on your own, our leaders will work to find you the best days to do it.

  • Routing and Scheduling:  The itinerary we provide can change on a certain day in terms of restaurant time, road closures, and weather conditions. Our leaders are fully trained at offering alternate plans and solutions. We seek your cooperation and promise to deliver the best vacation experience regardless.

" The trip exceeded my expectations, particularly riding through the Arizona landscape; the varied routes, the flexible options offered for riding and other activities, the accommodations in Tucson and Tubac, and the ride leaders' knowledge, endless preparation and encouraging attitudes. "

Joyce Videlock

" It was a thrill to see Arizona by bike. You feel so much of the essence of the desert, the culture, and the mountains. It was a bike tour and so much more. It’s quite something to experience a region like you can with Sojourn. "

Terry Sullivan

" I thought it was well balanced in every respect. The contrast of Patagonia only served to amplify the difference of the other two locations. I loved the contrast and the route choices each day! "

Kevin White
