Bike and Hike from Banff to Jasper National Park
On our Canadian Rockies bike tour, imagine yourself in the awe-inspiring beauty and rich history of Banff and Jasper National Parks. Prepare to be captivated by the snow-capped peaks, glistening glacier-fed lakes, and enchanting mountain trails that await you. Ride to Lake Minnewanka for a scenic cruise across the lake. Ride the Banff Gondola to the peak of Sulphur Mountain and hike the trails of iconic landmarks at the Columbia Icefield, Johnston Canyon, along Lake Louise and Athabasca Falls. Make your way from Banff to Jasper on one of the most iconic cycling routes in the world, the Icefields Parkway, witnessing unparalleled mountain scenery in the heart of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Banff and Jasper, along with the national parks of Kootenay and Yoho (as well as the Mount Robson, Mount Assiniboine, and Hamber provincial parks), formed the Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks and were recognized as a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site in 1984. There is an incredible diversity of wildlife in these national parks, where 53 species of mammals call it home.

1Meet your tour leaders at the hotel. Take a warmup ride through the Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course. Tonight, ride the Banff Gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain for an exquisite welcome reception and dinner.

2Ride to Lake Minnewanka for a scenic cruise across the lake. After the cruise, ride back to the hotel to relax and enjoy a night on your own.

3Bike along the Bow Valley Parkway to Lake Louise, stopping along the way to hike the trails of one of the most popular attractions in Banff National Park, Johnston Canyon. The ride continues on past Castle Mountain and the Eisenhower Tower before arriving at Lake Louise Inn.

4Spend the day hiking by the shimmering emerald waters of Lake Louise. Make your way up the Highline trail, passing through Big Beehive to the Lake Agnes Tea House, an iconic Banff and Lake Louise destination. Explore the Columbia Icefield, the largest ice mass in all of the Rocky Mountains.

5Today, experience the Skywalk, a one-kilometer glass-floored lookout, that overlooks the Sunwapta Valley, 918 feet off the ground! Enjoy a short hike at Athabasca Falls, a glacier-fed class 5 waterfall that flows over an eroded cliff before returning to the hotel. Please join your fellow travelers for a farewell dinner.

6The final day of your trip begins with a breakfast at the hotel, followed by a short shuttle for a hike in Maligne Canyon, the deepest canyon in all of Jasper National Park. Following this shorter hike, arrive back at the hotel to freshen up and to enjoy a lunch on your own, before shuttling to Banff.
