Death Valley National Park Bike Tour - FAQ

We pick you up at 9:00 AM from the Hampton Inn Las Vegas Airport South, conveniently located near Harry Reid International Airport (LAS). The tour concludes with a drop-off at LAS at approximately 3:00 PM.

Yes. All breakfasts and lunches are included, along with most dinners. One evening is left open for you to explore local dining options on your own. We strongly recommend making reservations for any restaurants you choose.

The national park is fairly exposed, so it’s important to be prepared for sun. While the region is known for warm weather, winter and early spring offer mild temperatures and very pleasant riding conditions. As with all our trips, average temperatures are ideal for cycling.

Yes. To give you the best overall experience, shuttles are used on certain days.

  • The shuttle to and from Death Valley takes about 2 hours.

  • There is also a 1-hour shuttle on Day 2 to reach the ride start.

Yes. The trip includes a moderate hike that is approximately 3 miles round-trip. Proper hiking or walking footwear is highly recommended.

A limited number of E-bikes are available and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Absolutely. On longer ride days, you can ride as much or as little as you like. Our support vans are always nearby if you need a break.

Our trips are designed to be highly flexible. If you’d like downtime or prefer to explore on your own, our trip leaders will work with you to find the best opportunities to do so.

Yes. The itinerary may change due to weather, road closures, or restaurant timing. Our leaders are fully trained to adapt and provide alternate plans when needed. We appreciate your flexibility and are committed to delivering the best possible vacation experience.

Death Valley National Park Bike Tour

DAY 1

Meet the leaders in Las Vegas near Harry Reid International Airport (LAS), or at the Ranch at Death Valley, a desert oasis that will serve as your home for three nights. After bike fitting and lunch and a short shuttle, ride to the Dante’s Peak, explore the panoramic views of the park found here and make your descent to the Inn at Death Valley.

DAY 2

After breakfast, take a short shuttle from the Ranch to Rhyolite, a once-bustling locale that is now a ghost town. Ride to a picnic lunch in Stovepipe Wells and then explore the Mesquite Sand Dunes, one of the most popular landmarks in Death Valley National Park.

DAY 3

Cycle to Badwater Basin, the lowest point in all of North America, then ride to Artist’s Palette. After lunch at Furnace Creek, return to the hotel to relax before your farewell dinner.

DAY 4

Today is your day to hike, starting with the appropriately named hills and twists of Golden Canyon. Following lunch at the hotel, shuttle back to Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) in Las Vegas.
