Tour Overview

Jasper to Banff National Park

The Canadian Rocky Mountains are a cyclist’s paradise and one of the most iconic ride destinations in the world. Banff and Jasper National Parks have a rich heritage as two of the world’s most awe-inspiring mountain destinations. Jasper and Banff, along with the national parks of Kootenay and Yoho (as well as the Mount Robson, Mount Assiniboine and Hamber provincial parks) form the Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks, which were recognized as a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site in 1984.

The Jasper to Banff tour takes you on two of the greatest mountain roadways in the world – The Icefields Parkway and The Bow Valley Parkway. The route embraces everything a cyclist yearns for: long downhill stretches past snow-capped peaks, sweeping vistas, spectacular turquoise blue lakes, and two mountain passes – Sunwapta and Bow – that take you up to elevations in excess of 7,000 feet for breathtaking views. Riding the Canadian Rocky Mountain parkways is just part of the allure of this bike tour. Make your way from Jasper to Banff, witnessing unparalleled mountain scenery in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Whitewater raft in Jasper National Park, ride the Banff Gondola to the peak of Sulphur Mountain, explore famed landmarks such as the Athabasca Falls, and hike from Lake Louise to the Lake Agnes Teahouse. The entire 200 plus mile trip from Jasper to Banff will have you explore these historic parks and in style and luxury. After spending the day in the saddle, unwind and relax at world-class resorts and dine at award-winning restaurants that are framed in stunning mountain settings.
