P’tit Train du Nord Rail Trail Bike Tour | Sojourn Bicycling Vacations

Sojourn Bicycling Vacations

Menu

5 Days / 4 Nights | Rating: Easy / Intermediate | Start / End: Montreal, QC

Experience a cycling adventure on the Petit Train du Nord bike trip in Quebec’s Laurentian region. This 202 km multi-use trail offers everything cyclists dream about – picturesque countryside, mouthwatering local cuisine, charming towns, clear signage, and relatively easy cycling, especially when biking from north to south. Originally a railroad, the trail was transformed after the Quebec government purchased it from the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1994. During this five-day car-free riding experience, you’ll explore the majestic Laurentians. Daily mileage and van-supported options are suitable for cyclists of all levels. The trail winds through breathtaking forests, past serene lakes, charming villages and villages, and through scenic mountainous landscapes – although since trains used to navigate this route the maximum grade never exceeds 4%! We’ll even take a mid-trip break to discover the award-winning alpine town of Mont-Tremblant, with its walkable village filled with shops, restaurants, and exciting activities. While the trail’s primary surface is paved asphalt, approximately 20 miles of it consists of crushed limestone sections. Don’t worry—our fleet of road bikes, hybrids, and e-bikes can handle it all.
