Sojourn pioneered bike and brewery tours in Vermont nearly a decade ago as Vermont’s craft beer grew to become world-renowned. The Green Mountain state ranks first in the US for the number of craft breweries per capita, and is home to some of the best beers in the world. Love cycling for hours through beautiful rolling countryside? Often found sharing a favorite beer at the end of rides? If so, our Vermont Bike & Brew tour is sure to rank as one of your most memorable experiences!
With our local knowledge and access to the top brewers in our home state of Vermont, Sojourn offers an unmatched experience. Creative young entrepreneurs are returning centuries-old family farms to viable agricultural use. Small organic farms and specialty producers have grown in concert with the craft beer movement in Vermont, creating an exemplary local and sustainable food culture. Our Vermont Bike and Brew trip showcases scenic country roads, iconic covered bridges, and rolling fields.

Join us for an amazing ride this summer in the Green Mountain State!
Ride south from Charlotte to Middlebury passing over rolling farmland and through quaint villages featuring stunning views of the Green Mountains. Enjoy lunch and a beer tasting at Otter Creek, then stop in to locally owned husband and wife team at Drop In Brewery for a beer before dinner. Enjoy dinner at the rustic Waybury Inn pub. The inn will be your home for the evening.
Cycle from Middlebury to Stone Corral brewery, a family operated artisanal brewery nestled right along the Wnooski River. Enjoy lunch and a few brews before departing to Lawson's Finest brewery, creators of one of our personal favorite brews, "Sip of Sunshine." Your home for the remainder for the tour is Top Notch Resort, a small, upscale resort featuring its own pub, dining room, outdoor pool, whirlpool, and sauna.
Enjoy this morning's leisurely ride through Moscow and the Village of Stowe to Von Trapp Brewery. In the early 1940s, the Von Trapp family toured the United States as the Trapp Family Singers and eventually settled here on an enchanted farm with sweeping mountain views reminiscent of their beloved homeland of Austria. After lunch, we depart for a group hike to Sterling Pond located in Smuggler's Notch State Park. The pond is beyond idyllic featuring subalpine plants, wildlife and quiet water. After we continue on to The Alchemist. Brewers of the world-famous Heady Topper!
Bike the Smuggler's Notch Loop, a route coveted by bike enthusiasts. The notch through the Green Mountains was named for smuggler's who used its caves to hide illicit goods destined for Canada. The caves were later used in the reverse direction during the 1920s prohibition era. In the village Jeffersonville, spin your way along the river and through pastoral farmland to Lost Nation brewery where we will enjoy lunch. Sample a crisp and refreshing Gose, one of their flagship brews, and enjoy lunch on the patio. Later stop in at Rock Art Brewery enroute back to Stowe. Enjoy dinner at Topnotch's Flannel restaurant.
After checking out, we depart for Frost Brewery in Richmond. Enjoy a pint at the last brewery of the tour. Ride through the picturesque countryside to Charlotte to enjoy a picnic lunch on the beautiful shores of Lake Champlain. Head to a local athletic club to freshen up before the transfer to Burlington airport or Sojourn headquarters to get your car.
