This bike trip in Vermont combines biking and the state’s best brews into one memorable cycling vacation. Ride south from Shelburne to Middlebury, gliding along rolling farmland and through charming villages, before stopping for lunch and a beer tasting at the Otter Creek brewery. Before dinner in Middlebury, stop by the Drop-In Brewery for another local pint. Cycle from Middlebury to Stone Corral, a family-operated artisanal brewery on the Winooski River. Moving on, visit Lawson’s Finest Brewing, creators of the locally popular “Sip of Sunshine.” Ride through the town of Moscow and historic downtown Stowe to the Von Trapp Brewery, then take a hike to Sterling Pond in Smuggler’s Notch State Park in the afternoon. Your reward is a taste of the world-famous “Heady Topper” at The Alchemist brewery. Wind your way through the twists and turns of the Smuggler’s Notch Loop, cycle along the river in Jeffersonville, and land at Lost Nation brewery for lunch and a taste of their crisp, flagship brew “Gose.” From there, it’s on to the Rock Art Brewery nearby. Round out your bike tour with a stop at Hinesburg’s Frost Brewery before riding back to Shelburne for a picnic on the shores of Lake Champlain.

1Begin your Vermont Bike and Brew bicycle tour riding south from Charlotte to Middlebury passing over rolling farmland and through quaint villages featuring stunning views of the Green Mountains. Enjoy lunch and a beer tasting at Otter Creek, then stop in at Drop In Brewery for a beer before dinner. Enjoy dinner at the rustic Waybury Inn pub.

2Cycle from Middlebury to Stone Corral brewery, a family operated artisanal brewery nestled right along the Winooski River. Enjoy lunch and a few brews before departing to Lawson's Finest Brewery, creators of one of our personal favorite brews, "Sip of Sunshine." Your home for the remainder of the tour is Top Notch Resort, a small, upscale resort.

3Enjoy this morning's leisurely ride through Moscow and the Village of Stowe to Von Trapp Brewery. After lunch, we depart for a group hike to Sterling Pond located in Smuggler's Notch State Park. The pond is beyond idyllic featuring subalpine plants, wildlife and quiet water. After we continue on to The Alchemist, brewers of the world-famous Heady Topper!

4Bike the Smuggler's Notch Loop, a route coveted by bike enthusiasts. In the village of Jeffersonville, spin your way along the river and through pastoral farmland to Lost Nation brewery where we will enjoy lunch. Sample a crisp and refreshing Gose, one of their flagship brews, and enjoy lunch on the patio. Later stop in at Rock Art Brewery en route back to Stowe. Enjoy dinner at Topnotch's Flannel restaurant.

5After checking out, we depart for Frost Brewery in Richmond. Enjoy a pint at the last brewery of the tour. Ride through the picturesque countryside to Charlotte to enjoy a picnic lunch on the beautiful shores of Lake Champlain. Head to the Sojourn headquarters to freshen up before the transfer to Burlington airport.

- Start & End: The tour starts at 10 AM at Sojourn HQ. Shuttles from Hotel Vermont pick up guests at 9:30 AM. The tour concludes at Sojourn HQ at 2 PM, with shuttles available back to Burlington. These arrive at around 4 PM.
- Meals: All breakfasts as well as most dinners and lunches are covered. We leave a few evenings and afternoons open for you to explore the variety of restaurants in the area. We strongly recommend you research opening times and make a reservation for the restaurants you pick.
- E-Bike: Limited number of E-bikes are offered on a first come first serve basis.
- Van support: There are a few longer ride days and you can choose to ride as much or as little as you want. Our vans are always there to offer you a break.
- Flexibility: Our trips are designed to be flexible, giving you the freedom to experience it the way YOU want. So if you want some downtime or to do things on your own, our leaders will work to find you the best days to do it.
- Routing and Scheduling: The itinerary we provide can change on a certain day in terms of restaurant time, road closures, and weather conditions. Our leaders are fully trained at offering alternate plans and solutions. We seek your cooperation and promise to deliver the best vacation experience regardless.

Reserve one of our regularly scheduled trip dates for your private group and qualify for reduced pricing. The larger your group, the lower the per person price. Gather your friends and we’ll do the rest to provide your group with a truly personalized and memorable vacation. Smaller groups can join published trips and receive reduced pricing on trips that aren’t reserved as private trip dates.
For groups of 16-18 people traveling together on a published tour date, a 10% discount on the double occupancy trip price will apply.
For groups of 12-15 people traveling together on a published tour date, a discount of 8% on the double occupancy trip price will apply.
For groups of 8-11 people traveling together on a published date, a discount of 6% on the double occupancy trip price will apply.
