After a bike fitting and orientation, ease into the week with a scenic ride through the landscapes of Rioja Alavesa. Visit Casa Valdelana, a family-run winery surrounded by vineyards, before settling into Hotel Silken Villa de Laguardia, your home for the next two nights. This evening, gather for a welcome reception and dinner featuring the distinctive flavors of Basque and Spanish cuisine.

Cycle through vineyard-covered countryside toward San Vicente de la Sonsierra, a striking medieval hill town crowned by the remains of its 10th-century fortress. After today’s ride, transfer north toward the Atlantic and San Sebastián, one of Spain’s great culinary and coastal destinations. Settle into the historic Hotel de Londres y de Inglaterra, ideally positioned on beautiful La Concha Bay, for a three-night stay. The evening is yours to begin exploring San Sebastián’s elegant waterfront, atmospheric Old Town, and celebrated pintxos bars.

Follow spectacular coastal roads through fishing villages and seaside landscapes toward Getaria and Lekeitio, with challenging climbs rewarded by memorable ocean views. Along the way, recharge with pintxos, the small plates for which Basque Country is famous. Today’s longer route offers one of the week’s most rewarding rides, with shorter options available through Sojourn’s van support.
