Experience the best cycling Texas has to offer.
This is Texas as you never imagined – all things and more that the big, beautiful Lone Star State is famous for. Our Texas Hill Country bicycle tours feature a region that’s one of the best kept secrets in the USA. Miles of lightly traveled roads wind through gently rolling limestone hills and river valleys shaded by giant cypress trees. Limestone outcroppings are reminiscent of the Loire Valley or Provence, and might explain why the cultivation of wine grapes is increasingly popular here.
Tour historic and beautiful LBJ Ranch by bike, and ride to the legendary country music hamlet of Luckenbach. Tours are scheduled for peak wildflower season when stunning Texas Bluebonnets and many other colorful flowers bloom. The trip is centered around a four-night stay in the cowboy chic town of Fredericksburg at a lovely inn that defines rustic elegance. Don’t let the “Hill Country” reference scare you away – keep in mind that most of this vast state is pretty darn flat. The cycling terrain is mostly rolling with plenty of options for weekend warriors!
Group discounts for our published trip dates begin with as few as eight people. Please contact us for details.

Wind along back roads past fields of wildflowers, over small creeks and under the shade of live oak trees. Cross the beautiful Guadalupe River and continue to the tiny town of Luckenbach, Texas — made famous by its namesake song sung by Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson.
One of the most popular rides in Texas Hill Country is the Willow City Loop — especially in wildflower season. The route winds through canyons and open fields painted in rich purple hues of the Hill Country’s famed Texas Bluebonnets. Explore Fredericksburg’s historic downtown or visit the National Museum of the Pacific War.
The day is full of opportunities for cycling, hiking, and exploring the charming town of Fredericksburg. A ride through quiet ranchland is on tap for the morning. An afternoon hike on Enchanted Rock, a giant granite dome that punctuates the landscape offers a unique perspective of the region.
Follow the Pedernales River to LBJ Ranch. This beautiful oasis continues to operate as a working ranch and is best appreciated by bicycle. Enjoy a self-guided tour through the expansive property which includes free-ranging cattle, the Texas White House, and LBJ’s Air Force One. This evening, friends host a true Texas Barbeque for the group.
Ride through open range along farm to market roads that are so lightly traveled they seem like bike paths.
