Take a day off the bike to stretch your legs during a hike in Indian Canyon where native palms have thrived along a continuously flowing stream. Wind your way to a ridge which offers expansive views of surrounding peaks before descending for picnic lunch. Later in the day, relax by one of the pools at Korakia or stroll through artsy Palm Springs.
Visit the village of Old Town La Quinta and ride through the surrounding area which includes some of the most revered golf courses in the country. Don your walking shoes for a hike along a boulder-strewn riverbed to one of the region's only native palm canyons. The contrast of the rugged desert stone and the green palm trees is striking. Boulders the size of houses cause the trail to wind back and forth. If we're fortunate, we'll see bighorn sheep along the way.
This Mediterranean-style pensione serves as the perfect location for secluded relaxation and experiencing all that the Palm Springs region has to offer.
