FAQs

  • Start & End: The tour starts at the Grouse Mountain Lodge in Whitefish Montana at 12:30 PM. (Warning: if looking to book the lodge for the night beforehand, you will need to do so very far in advance. Other hotels and inns in Whitefish/Kalispell are also an option.) The tour concludes at the Glacier International Airport (FCA) at 12:00 PM on the final day.
  • Meals: All breakfasts, as well as most dinners and lunches are covered. We leave a few evenings and afternoons open for you to explore the variety of restaurants in the area. We strongly recommend researching opening hours and making a reservation for the restaurants you pick.
  • Shuttle: In order to offer you the best of the area on a trip, we need to make use of shuttles to get from A to B. The tour starts with a 45 minute shuttle to the park and concludes with a 2 hour shuttle back to the Glacier Airport.
  • Accommodations: The lodges and hotels on this trip are visually striking, but can offer more casual service than is common for Sojourn tours. The area is very rural, and these boutique locations offer authentic and comfortable service.
  • Routes: Most of the riding is on roads with sparse traffic, except on the iconic going-to-the-sun road. Here, we are not allowed to offer van support and there is a minimal shoulder with the potential of considerable traffic. We encourage guests who feel nervous to get in the van for this difficult climb.
  • E-Bike: Limited number of E-bikes are offered on a first come first serve basis.
  • Van support: There are a few longer ride days and you can choose to ride as much or as little as you want. Our vans are always there to offer you a break, but reception can be limited in the park so communicating to your tour leaders beforehand is essential.
  • Flexibility: Our trips are designed to be flexible, giving you the freedom to experience it the way YOU want. So if you want some downtime or to do things on your own, our leaders will work to find you the best days to do it.
  • Routing and Scheduling: The itinerary we provide can change on a certain day in terms of restaurant time, road closures, and weather conditions. Our leaders are fully trained at offering alternate plans and solutions. We seek your cooperation and promise to deliver the best vacation experience regardless.

Guest Reviews

“What a memorable trip of a lifetime! Glacier National Park with its breathtaking views and iconic “Going to the Sun Road,” is a cyclist’s paradise together. Sojourn’s accommodations, route design, meals, and the socials were outstanding. A group of cyclists who came to a bike tour as strangers left as a family of close friends. I so look forward to my next trip with Sojourn! “
