Education: B.A. in Sociology, Albion College; M.A. in Sociology, Central Michigan University; Doctoral studies in Sociology, Virginia Tech, and Leisure Science & Recreation, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Certification in tennis (USPTA and USPTR) and skiing (PSIA).
Hobbies and interests: cycling, skiing, food, and “Livin’ the dream!”
Favorite rides: Whichever one he is currently on; Vermont, especially fall foliage; the Cadillac Mountain climb at dawn; Acadia National Park and the Park Loop Road, Bar Harbor, ME; rolling out of his garage in Utah.

Bio: Following the sage advice of his father – “Find something you enjoy and try to make a living at it and you will never work a day” – Wayne has had the great fortune of being able to pursue a career teaching and coaching. He has taught and coached at the university level and currently teaches skiing at one of the top-ranked resorts in the country. Wayne thoroughly enjoys his journeys with Sojourn from the peak of Cadillac Mountain on the Acadia tour, to the gaps and valleys of the Vermont tours, to the shores of the Outer Banks and Cape Cod. Bottom line, Wayne enjoys life to the fullest “livin’ the dream!”
