  • Start & End: You check in the day before the tour starts at Hotel Vermont. Riding does not start until day 2, when you meet your tour leaders at 9 AM in the lobby. The tour concludes in Quebec City after breakfast on the last day, with an optional shuttle available back to Burlington.

  • Meals: All breakfasts, as well as most dinners and lunches are covered. We leave a few evenings and afternoons open for you to explore the variety of restaurants in the area. We strongly recommend a reservation for the restaurants you pick.

  • Shuttle: There is an optional shuttle available after the trip to get back to Burlington, VT. This shuttle takes around 4 ½ hours, with considerable variability due to the border crossing.

  • Accommodations:  Some of the accommodations on this trip in rural Quebec are more casual than is usually the Sojourn standard. They were chosen due to their historical value, authentic atmosphere and location.

  • E-Bike: Limited number of E-bikes are offered on a first come first serve basis.

  • Van support: There are a few longer ride days and you can choose to ride as much or as little as you want. Our vans are always there to offer you a break.

  • Level of Riding: This is rated as an intermediate trip, with most of that rating being based on the duration of the trip. In terms of elevation, the proximity of the St. Lawrence river results in minimal climbing. The longest day is 85 miles, but the van is always available to shuttle you to the final destination if you are no longer having fun.

  • Routing and Scheduling: The itinerary we provide can change on a certain day in terms of restaurant time, road closures, and weather conditions. Our leaders are fully trained at offering alternate plans and solutions. We seek your cooperation and promise to deliver the best vacation experience regardless.

Jane Brueggemann

" It was challenging, insightful, educational, and filled with new experiences! The group was terrific and as I have come to expect, the guides and experiences provided by Sojourn were top notch! "

Julie Baker

" In many ways, it exceeded expectations. The tour guides were exceptional. Their knowledge about the area made this much more than a bike trip. The other people in our group were, without exception, pleasant, positive, and flexible people. The scenery and learning about the history were outstanding. "
