Our bike tour from Ottawa to Montreal departs from Burlington, Vermont, with a drive up into Canada, or you may meet the group at the hotel in Ottawa. Before setting out, explore Canada’s capital city via its extensive network of bike paths. Watch as boats navigate the Rideau Canal below theSojourn Ottawa to Montreal Bike Tour Route Map impressive Parliament Building. Ride along the car-free Gatineau Parkway before visiting the National Gallery or exploring the lively Byward Market. Cycle out of the city and along the river, which you’ll cross by ferry to the largest log cabin in the world, the Fairmont Le Chateau Montebello. From here, there are several scenic loop rides from which to choose, revealing eastern Ontario’s historic villages, rural farmland, and even an interesting microbrewery.   • Start & End: The tour starts in Ottowa at 1 PM at the Lord Elgin Hotel. Tour conclusion is at 12 PM in Montreal. There is an optional shuttle which allows for the tour to start and end in Burlington, Vermont. For this option, the tour starts at 8 AM and concludes at 5 PM. 

 

  • Meals: All breakfasts and most dinners and lunches are covered. We leave a few evenings and afternoons open for you to explore the variety of restaurants in the area. We strongly recommend a reservation for the restaurants you pick.

 

  • Routes: Although most of the riding is on trails and bike paths we do sometimes will share the road with traffic. While in the bigger cities, roads might be more traffic heavy. Though it is relatively safe, we encourage guests who feel nervous to get in the van.


  • E-Bike: Limited number of E-bikes are offered on a first come first serve basis. 


  • Van support: There are a few longer ride days and you can choose to ride as much or as little as you want. Our vans are always there to offer you a break.


  • Flexibility: Our trips are designed to be flexible, giving you the freedom to experience it the way YOU want. So if you want some downtime or to do things on your own, our leaders will work to find you the best days to do it.

 

  • Routing and Scheduling: The itinerary we provide can change on a certain day in terms of restaurant time, road closures, and weather conditions. Our leaders are fully trained at offering alternate plans and solutions. We seek your cooperation and promise to deliver the best vacation experience regardless.
