"We never imagined that every place we went
would be so beautiful or how much we would enjoy a bicycle tour. The beauty of Vermont and the tour leaders, who went above and beyond in every aspect, helped us experience our best vacation ever!

Whether you are a seasoned cyclist or a first-time bike tour enthusiast, Vermont's spectacular and historic Lake Champlain Valley is a not to be missed destination for bicycling. Gently rolling routes are perfect for a leisurely paced vacation and historic inns offer comfortable relaxation.
Tour the sprawling grounds of Shelburne Farms whose lush, rolling hillsides are also home to stately architectural masterpieces. Sample the world-famous cheddar cheese - a product of the Farms' renowned herd of Brown Swiss cows.
Bike through centuries old farmland sprinkled with classic barns and Vermont's signature Holstein cows. Stop to sample delicious treats at a local chocolatier. Cycle through several of Vermont's signature covered bridges. Walk to shops and galleries from your inn in Middlebury, a classic New England college town complete with town green.

Take in stunning views of the Adirondack Mountains during a cruise across Lake Champlain. Enjoy a fabulous bike ride on the opposite shores of the lake. Picnic in a lovely park overlooking the lake in the charming town of Essex, listed in the National Register of Historic Places as one of the most intact ensembles of pre-Civil War architecture in America.
Join a naturalist for a guided kayak tour on a peaceful river teeming with waterfowl and wildlife. The Lake Champlain region is an important part of a major flyway and home to a variety of resident birds and animals. View thousands of snow and Canadian geese during annual fall migrations.
Visit Vergennes, an important maritime site during the Revolutionary War. The basin below the dramatic waterfalls in the center of town was an important ship building location during the French and Indian Wars and the War of 1812. Enjoy a picnic on the town green and peruse the shops that surround it. Learn more about the maritime history of the area during a visit to the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum.
Enjoy an exclusive two-night stay at a classic summer resort situated on the shores of Lake Champlain. This relaxing and peaceful oasis offers tennis courts, boating, golf, and its own pub. Two historic inns date back to the 19th century and each has been lovingly restored. Both are a short walk to local shops and restaurants, and serve their own fabulous and hearty Vermont breakfasts.
