Sojourn Accommodations & Meals

Info  » People  » Lodging & Meals  » Typical Day  » What's Included  » Equipment  » Partners

At Sojourn, we carefully select from the finest of accommodations that uniquely compliment each of our bike tours and active vacations.  Our lodging partners range from historic Vermont country inns to the finest of Wine Country estates.  Some are luxurious but all are unpretentious and convey a sense of casual elegance and regional style.

Our vacations are relaxed and informal although many of the places where we lodge or dine are among the best in the area.  We have artfully chosen places with top quality and service, as well as a relaxed atmosphere in which you can comfortably unwind.

Meals are focal points on Sojourn vacations.   Morning route reviews often take place during breakfast at the inn while you enjoy fresh local fruit, yogurt, granola, muffins, croissant, or a hot off the griddle local specialty.

Lunch is either an extravagant picnic prepared by your tour leaders or on your own where the route offers a variety of options.  Imagine a fresh lobster salad wrap on the cliffs overlooking the sea, or a delightful charcuterie and a bowl of pasta with fresh pesto in the shade of towering redwoods – neither beyond the scope of your leaders’ talents.

The evening meals provide an opportunity to share the day’s adventures and regain those calories you burned so effortlessly during the day.  You’ll dine at the inn or at a favorite local restaurant and either way, be treated to the finest of local cuisine as you laugh with friends over stories of the day’s adventures.  Don't worry about indulging, that's but one of the benefits of an active vacation!
