Fall Tours Debut in Arizona
Specialty Trip Includes El Tour de Tucson
By popular demand, we've recently added fall trips in Arizona during October and November of 2008. This ever-popular and perennially sold out tour continues to be a huge hit. We even found a way to improve the trip for 2008 with stunning new cycling routes and an upgrade to the lodging for our final night at the recently refurbished Tubac Golf Resort at Otero Ranch. Now you can enjoy an incredibly fun week of glorious fall weather and cap off your cycling season in true southwestern style.
Those who are up for a bit more adventure can reserve a spot on our new specialty tour that ends the week with an additional two nights in Tucson. Return to the renowned Hacienda del Sol for the opportunity to participate in the famed El Tour de Tucson! Our Sojourn tour will top out at 18 but you'll be one of 10,000 cyclists of all abilities who will ride routes ranging from 35 to 109 miles in and around Tucson. This is the 26th annual El Tour and is sure to be a fun-filled one. Reserve soon as space is very limited.
Outside Magazine Touts Sojourn's Arizona Bike Tour
Outside's annual Travel Issue that hit the news stands in April named our Arizona tour as a "dream ride" and 'life-list-worthy tour", noting routes that lead past giant cacti and through red rock canyons, along with light pollution-free nights at historic guest ranches.

New Tour for 2008
Sojourn has a new active vacation in Oregon's Columbia River Gorge region. The tour spans the gorgeous country between Mount Hood and Washington's Mount Adams to the north. Incredibly scenic bike rides, hikes, and a raft trip on a Wild & Scenic River provide a comprehensive introduction to the region. The trip is rated more moderate but shorter routes offer something for everyone. Luxurious lodging is the standard throughout with both properties named to Travel & Leisure's Top 100.
Team Sarcoma Tours Vermont

The week of July 14-21, more than 60 sarcoma patients, survivors, friends, family, physicians and nurses from around the world cycled their way through northwestern Vermont, raising awareness of sarcoma as well as much needed funds for finding a cure. This rare form of cancer in adults accounts for nearly 20% of all children's cancers.
Represented in the group were more than 11 nations and several children, some as young as age 4, who are afflicted with sarcoma. The trip began in Burlington before heading south to Middlebury, north to Stowe, then along the Missisquoi Valley Rail Trail to the Champlain Islands.
You can help find a cure for this devastating disease by making a donation through the Liddy Shriver Sarcoma Initiative.
Sojourn developed and coordinated the Team Sarcoma 2007 Bike Tour.

Sojourn's adventurous and spirited bike tour leader, Elaine Parker, recently completed her dream of cycling solo from Raleigh, North Carolina to her hometown of Maryville, Tennessee.
